PLATFORM GUIDE

Choose a platform from verified requirements

Use official platform support and your own hardware, storage, language and controller needs—not unverified performance claims.

01Supported systems

Capcom lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. No page on this guide should imply support for a system absent from the current official list.

02Published platform differences

The table separates storefront facts from performance promises. Capability labels describe support; they do not guarantee the same resolution or frame rate in every scene.

PlatformCurrent first-party factsCheck before purchase
PlayStation 5Single-player offline, Remote Play, DualSense vibration and trigger effects; the page labels the title PS5 Pro Enhanced.Regional language, storage, price and whether the listed features matter to your setup.
Xbox Series X|SPlay Anywhere, cloud saves and storefront capability labels including 4K, HDR, VRR and 60 FPS+.Do not read capability labels as a guarantee that all features run together in every scene.
Nintendo Switch 2Handheld, tabletop and TV modes; HDR, surround sound and Save Data Cloud are listed on the UK page.Regional download size, language and controller preferences.
PCSteam publishes minimum and recommended targets, requires an SSD and lists full controller support.Compare every CPU, GPU, memory, OS and storage row with your machine.

03A conservative choice rule

Choose the version whose official requirements and account features you can verify. This guide does not rank platforms using untested visual or performance claims.

04Choose by constraint, not by logo

Start with the requirement that would make a purchase unusable, then move to preferences. This order keeps attractive capability badges from hiding a practical mismatch.

Existing hardwareThe exact console generation or every row of the Steam requirements.Exclude a platform before comparing optional features if the required hardware is unavailable.
Portable playNintendo handheld/tabletop modes or PlayStation Remote Play/cloud-streaming eligibility.Distinguish native handheld play from streaming that depends on another device, plan or network.
Cross-device ownershipXbox Play Anywhere and the signed-in Xbox listing.Use the entitlement wording; do not assume cross-buy on another ecosystem.
LanguageThe regional storefront for the exact SKU.Confirm interface, subtitles and audio separately.
Display featuresCapability labels for the platform and display.A listed feature is eligibility, not proof that every feature operates simultaneously.

05Capability labels are not benchmark results

A store can accurately label a title 4K, HDR, VRR, ray tracing or 60 FPS+ without promising a fixed combination in every scene or mode. The same caution applies to PS5 Pro Enhanced. Treat the label as a supported feature to investigate, not as a measured performance chart. This guide does not convert storefront badges into frame-rate or image-quality rankings.

06A reproducible purchase note

Before checkout, write down the platform, store region, language requirement, controller/accessory requirement, display mode and whether saves must move between devices. Attach the first-party page you used. This creates a small audit trail if a regional listing changes and makes the decision comparable without pretending that this site benchmarked hardware it has not tested.

07What would justify a performance ranking

A future ranking would need the retail version number, the same scene or repeatable route, identical display settings, capture methodology and multiple runs on each platform. Until that evidence exists, the platform matrix stays limited to published capabilities and user-owned constraints.
