SOURCE DESK

Official source index and verification method

A practical map of which first-party source can answer each question—and where its evidence stops.

01Use the source that owns the claim

No single official page is authoritative for every detail. Capcom controls the global product announcement, while a signed-in regional storefront controls the SKU a reader can actually buy. Platform editorial articles can explain a system, but they do not replace the store for entitlement or the game itself for a complete mechanic test.

Use the source that owns the claim
Source typeBest used forDo not use it to prove
Capcom corporate releaseWorldwide release date, supported platform announcement and corporate status.Regional price, refund terms or account entitlement.
Official game sitePremise, named features, characters and publisher-presented media.Unpublished frame data, complete walkthroughs or regional SKU contents.
Regional platform storeCurrent price, edition, language, download and account/platform features.A worldwide promise for every other region or platform.
Platform editorial articleAttributed explanation of controls or systems on that platform.Universal inputs, exact timing windows or behavior absent from the article.
Official video channelWhat Capcom chose to show publicly at that date.A complete feature list, final performance benchmark or permission to re-upload the asset.

02Verification sequence

For a time-sensitive claim, first identify the exact question and platform. Open the newest dated Capcom statement, then the signed-in regional store, and record the date checked. If they disagree, preserve both values and their scopes. Do not resolve the conflict with an undated search snippet, a copied database entry or a community repost.

03Current source map

The links below are the first-party starting points used by this guide. Individual content pages add the platform-specific source when a claim needs one.

  • Release status: Capcom investor-relations release update.
  • PC requirements, languages and Steam editions: the live Steam product page.
  • PlayStation features and demo entitlement: the PlayStation product and demo pages.
  • Xbox capabilities and published combat explanation: the Xbox product page and Xbox Wire.
  • Nintendo Switch 2 modes and regional download information: the Nintendo product page.

04Change-control rule

A source changing does not automatically make an older statement dishonest; it makes the review date and scope important. Material corrections should be made on the affected page, not hidden by creating another nearly identical URL. Pages should not display a fresh review date unless their outbound sources and conclusions were actually rechecked.

05Media boundary

This index no longer embeds a wall of third-party players. Readers can follow a labelled official source when the media itself is needed. The site does not download, transcribe or re-host trailers, thumbnails, music or promotional artwork, and a trailer is not treated as evidence for a feature it does not explicitly show or state.
